General guidance
Good aftercare helps you get the most from your treatment and supports healthy healing. Below is general guidance, your practitioner will always give you advice specific to your treatment and skin, which takes priority.
Facials, peels & resurfacing
- Avoid direct sun and wear SPF daily, your skin is more sensitive afterwards
- Pause active ingredients (retinol, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C) for 24–48 hours or as advised
- Avoid heat: hot showers, sauna, steam and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
- Keep skin hydrated and avoid makeup for the first few hours where possible
- With peels, some flaking is normal, do not pick or peel the skin
Skin needling
- Redness and warmth for 24–48 hours is normal
- Use only gentle, recommended skincare and avoid active ingredients
- Wear SPF and avoid direct sun; avoid makeup for 24 hours
- Avoid sweating, exercise, sauna and swimming for 48 hours
Cosmetic injectables
- Avoid touching, rubbing or massaging the treated area for 24 hours (unless instructed)
- Stay upright for around 4 hours and avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Avoid alcohol, and avoid facials or other treatments on the area for about 2 weeks
- Some bruising or swelling can occur and will settle
Lymphatic drainage & boosters
- Drink plenty of water and keep movement gentle
- Avoid heavy meals and alcohol immediately afterwards
- Mild, temporary reactions can occur, contact us if you have any concerns
LED light therapy
LED has minimal to no downtime. Continue your usual skincare and SPF.
